GENERAL BUSINESS - Budgets, payroll, banking, and personal business tasks—I know these things are in my future, but what are they? Be ready to enter the "real world", take General Business.

 

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - Most of you have, or will use a computer—but do you really know how to make it work for YOU? Computer Applications is the place to bring it all together. Learn your way around a word processor, a spreadsheet, and a database, and presentation software. After completing this course, you will also be certified to use the Internet. Use Microsoft Office to enhance what you can do in all of your subjects (i.e.; science, math, English, history, etc.). You can’t afford to make it without these common workplace skills.

 

ADVANCED COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - (Prerequisite: Computer Applications) Strategically place yourself in the business world with the ability to use spreadsheets, databases, word processors, and web pages. Develop proficiency in the integration of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) software.

DESKTOP PUBLISHING - (Prerequisite: Computer Applications) Desktop Publishing emphasizes the computer as a creative tool and is designed for students who wish to explore the graphic design potential of the PC. Learn the creative use of graphic tools, typography, layout and design, and the production of business documents using state of the art software such as Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel WordPerfect. The creative Xpression of putting computers and art to work!

Have fun interacting and improving your communication skills in this "hands on" technological course using the software packages Corel WordPerfect Presentations, Microsoft PowerPoint, Video Police and Internet Explorer. BUSINESS IN ACTION MODULE II-TIGER PAWS PUBLISHING - (Prerequisite: Business in Action - Module I) Now that you have learned the ropes about business techniques in Module I. LET’S GO TO WORK! Real jobs are where you "really" learn the ins and outs of business. Business in Action teams with Future Business Leaders of America to provide computer services, leadership through sales activities, and overall understanding of business records, decisions, and day-to-day business transactions.
